Doria

Doria (doria.fi) is a digital archive of theses, dissertations and other publications from Finnish higher-education institutions, plus digitised library collections. You can search and download many PDFs at no charge.

A thesis is a student or researcher’s work. It is not official statistics and not legal advice. Methods and sample sizes vary. Figures may be several years old.

Universities of applied sciences also deposit work in Theseus (theseus.fi). Finna.fi searches across many Finnish libraries.

Practical advice

Use the bibliography at the end of a thesis to find official sources. Then take current numbers from Tilastokeskus, THL or the relevant authority.

If you need a certified translation of a diploma, that is Virallinen kääntäjä, not Doria.

Where to seek advice

The best place to start is Doria: https://www.doria.fi/

Search the archive here. For current official statistics, contact Statistics Finland (info@stat.fi). For a student project or research partnership, contact the university’s own research or business-collaboration office, not only the PDF archive.
