Tapahtumat ja markkinat
Markets, fairs, design events, flea markets and pop-ups are listed in several public calendars. The calendars overlap but they are not identical. They tell you what is on. They do not automatically give you a stall. You apply to the organiser.
Helsinki’s city calendar is tapahtumat.hel.fi. You can filter by category, including markets and fairs. Helsinki Marketing’s calendar is on myhelsinki.fi. Stadissa.fi lists city events and often design markets and pop-ups. Tapahtumatkartalla.fi maps events in Finland by city and category. Facebook groups such as Kirpparit ja myyjäiset Helsinki/Vantaa/Espoo are used by organisers who look for sellers at short notice.
Sales at an event are still business income. ALV and Kirjanpito rules apply. Some city spaces need a permit if you are not part of an organised market. The organiser or the city will say which notification is required. See Luvat ja ilmoitukset.
Practical advice
Note the stall application deadline. It is often weeks before the event.
Scan the city calendars on a fixed weekday. Filter for markets and fairs.
Confirm a Facebook event on the organiser’s own page or on stadissa.fi.
For events outside Helsinki, use tapahtumatkartalla.fi by city and category.
Where to seek advice
The best place to start is City of Helsinki event calendar: https://tapahtumat.hel.fi/
This is the city’s official list. Stall rules come from each organiser, not from the calendar. For selling as a business, Uusyrityskeskus can explain tax and registration: https://uusyrityskeskus.fi/yrityksen-perustajalle/palvelumme-alkavalle-yrittajalle/
